I cannot thank you enough for initiating this project and caring about this community in the way you have demonstrated through you generosity. It is a true testament to EWS as well, that your employees donated their time to this, although worthwhile, weekend work project. Please accept my heartfelt thanks, extended to everyone at EWS.
On behalf of the Okaloosa County Board of Commissioners – Thank You – for not only donating your services to the tune of $50,000, but investing your time, thought and expertise in order to make the cleanup a success now and in the future.
The public relations campaign, (consisting of before and after stories, photos, future enforcement information and hopefully increased awareness of the environment,) resulted in four news segments on television, four articles in local newspapers and one letter to the editor. As you know, Cox Cable will air “Focus on Okaloosa,” our monthly governmental TV show about Main Drive this month, and updates were included in Board of County Commissioners meetings, also aired on Cox Cable. Currently, you can see a presentation with before/after photos, giving EWS even more exposure on our website home page at www.okaloosafl.com.
I look forward to future opportunities to work alongside you in improving communities and protecting the lifestyle we enjoy in Okaloosa County. If there is anything else I can do for you, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Many Thanks,
Chairman Wayne Harris
Okaloosa County Commissioner, District 1
